Stop advertising them as tough, tear proof cards. They are cheap, flimsy paper cards that I definitely can not give to my ASD toddler who will tear them up and eat them. There is actually no point in having the flimsy useable paper I have to keep the cards out of my child's reach and only allow them to be played with when I am able to be there watching and policing the activity. I would have been better off purchasing cheap cardboard sight words and use my own aussie voice to speak the word/make the...
My granddaughter loves it she is 2 1/2 and can do it all herself
The team were great in resolving my issue. The product itself was great, My grandson loved it and it's so good to see him learn in a fun way!
Very practical and variety of good hard words for toddlers in australian accent.
I'm really impressed with this audible flashcard learning device! It's simple to use, engaging, and makes learning feel like a fun activity rather than a lesson. The clear audio and colourful cards are great for helping my little one recognise words, objects and sounds while building her vocabulary. The ABC song that plays is also a really nice touch.
I would definitely recommend it to parents looking for an easy and interactive way to support their child's early learning.
absolutely brilliant! we got this for my almost 3 year old niece and she loves it. She has learnt so many new words in such a short time. the only negative is that you cant bury the expansion pack separately so you need to order another reader too. however the positive is that we have a spare for the car or baby bag etc.. highly recommend.
The concept is great. The cards however are very flimsy. My 2 1/2 year old grandson tore a card as he tried pulling it out of device within the first minute he tried it. A few times he's grabbed a bundle of cards and quickly was able to crumble them with one hand. One more thing, the word 'zebra' is pronounced in American English. Considering the fliminess of the cards this device was too expensive.
Prompt delivery of order & great packaging. The sound affects are realistic.
My grandson is a bit young but looking forward to seeing him use it.
Great product, My daughter is learning new words and the Australian accent is a huge plus.
Disappointed with the false advertising though, the cards are flimsy and aren't durable at all. Still a great product, just no need to say it's something when it's not
Great product
Great price
Outstanding delivery time
Sounds great
Great size for small hands
My 2yr old Great grandson will love it when father Christmas delivers
The cards are absolute rubbish. So thin, breakable and flimsy. Definitely got scammed.
I find it good but the cards are a bit flimsy and bend easily
It was a gift for my granddaughter
But her birthday is coming up soon
We thought the cards could be a little less bendable as my grandson is only 17months and cannot grip and place it in properly hence it gets creased and bent up.
Absolutely amazing service. Yes, I got a faulty machine but it was no issue to communicate and a replacement has been sent out asap. Thank you. My grandson loves it
The materials isn't very good; it's not what I expected.
It's a great idea! It is marketed as "non tearable" but the cards definitely can easily be bent and ripped especially if your little one were to put them in their mouth.
My grandson loves it! Already trying to mimic the words...the Aussie accent is terrific.
My grandson loves using the cards!
What if your toddler could learn 510 words — without a single screen?
AussieMate™ is the screen-free audible flashcard reader with a genuine Australian accent — so your little one learns to speak the way you do at home. No app. No tablet. Just play.
You shouldn't have to choose between
learning and a tablet.
The problem
Little ones are glued to tablets and YouTube. You want them learning, but screen time isn't the answer.
Why the cheap ones fail
Those $20 overseas readers use a thick American accent — confusing for an Aussie kid learning to talk. And the cards fall apart in a week.
The AussieMate™ way
Real words. A real Aussie voice. Real results. Screen-free, hands-on, and properly engaging — the kind of learning that actually sticks.
Three simple steps. That's it.
No setup, no app, no Wi-Fi. Charge it once and let them play.
Slide the card in
Pop any waterproof flashcard into the slot at the top of the AussieMate™ reader.
Hear it in Aussie
A clear, friendly Australian voice reads the word out loud — just the way you would at home.
They repeat, learn, grow
Little ones say the word back. One card at a time, vocabulary builds naturally.
Everything you want.
Nothing you don't.
Designed on the Gold Coast since 2013. Built to survive sticky fingers, bath time, and the back of the pram.
Genuine Aussie accent
Sounds like home — not a cartoon character from overseas.
Waterproof flashcards
Survives sticky fingers, spilled juice, and even bath time.
USB rechargeable
No dangerous button batteries to swallow or replace. Ever.
Up to 510 words
Grows with your child from 18 months right through to age 5.
100% screen-free
Real learning. Real focus. Hand it over without the guilt.
Storage bag included
Keeps cards tidy at home and ready for grandma's house.
The screen-free moment you've been hoping for.
Little hands. Big imaginations. A device tough enough for the rug, the high chair, and the back seat of the car — and a voice that sounds like home.
37,000+ five-star reviews.
She's speaking at a 4-year-old level
Honestly didn't expect much, but our girl is only just 2 and the way she's talking now is unreal. She asks for "the Mate" every morning.
My twins are absolutely obsessed
Cards are super durable — my twins love pressing repeat and shouting the words back. We've already ordered an expansion pack.
So much better than the Temu one
Bought the cheap Temu version first — terrible American accent. AussieMate is completely different. You can tell straight away.
Even my 30-year-old wants one
Arrived in two days, lovely sturdy box, works exactly as advertised. My son asked for one for his birthday. Half joking. Maybe.
The difference is honestly night and day.

Is it appropriate for my 18-month-old?
Absolutely. AussieMate™ is designed from 18 months and up. Card insertion is simple, the audio is instant, and there are no fiddly buttons — perfect for tiny hands just learning to explore.
What if my child already knows some of the words?
That's where the magic of expansion packs comes in. Unlock up to 510 words across new themes — animals, jobs, emotions, colours, food and more — so AussieMate™ keeps growing with your little one all the way to age 5.
How is this different from the cheap ones I've seen online?
Three big things: a genuine Australian accent, premium waterproof card quality that survives real toddler use, and a real Aussie support team you can actually reach. We've been doing this on the Gold Coast since 2013.
What if it breaks or we just don't like it?
You're completely covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee. Send it back for a full refund — no questions, no awkward emails.
Does it need Wi-Fi or an app?
No. AussieMate™ is completely screen-free and works without an app or Wi-Fi. Charge it once and your little one can simply insert a card and play.
Give your little one the gift of words — in their own accent.
Screen-free play. Real Aussie voice. Up to 510 words. The kind of childhood you actually want to give them.
Or pay in 4 with Afterpay. No interest.
